CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care(Domestic)

We want you to complete your studies feeling confident in your ability to start you career in the childcare industry. Our Trainers/Assessors have industry experience as early childcare workers and Centre Directors. Our training facility resembles a typical early childcare classroom, where you can learn to facilitate play-based learning.

The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is the minimum qualification required for employment within the childcare industry. This course contains 18 units (15 core and 3 electives) and covers the following themes;

  • Providing Care for Children
  • Self-Management and Risk
  • Legislation and Diversity
  • First Aid

Duration

The course duration typically takes between 6 to 12 months (depending on the student’s previous learning, experience, and employment status).

Entry Requirements

You must have;

  • Completed at least Year 10 from an Australian secondary school or overseas equivalent

OR

Proof of equivalent competency in core skills to a level appropriate for the course being applied for

  • Successful completion of a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment
  • Working with Children Check and Police Clearance – Blue Card
  • A good level of physical fitness

Delivery Method

The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care course is delivered through a blended learning experience with students assigned a Trainer/Assessor who will conduct regular face-to-face classes. These classes are then combined with both online components and practical assessments that are undertaken in an actual work environment. This blended method delivery allows our Trainer/Assessor to not only support the student through their learning but assess them to determine their level of competency in each unit.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Credit Transfer (CT)

Have industry experience but no formal qualification? Concerned about spending valuable time on a course to gain skills and knowledge you already possess?

Our friendly staff will guide you through the RPL/CT process and collect the evidence needed to support your application. We issue applicants RPL/CT documentation requesting specific information relating to acquired skills and knowledge achieved within the past five years. An interview process and practical skills assessment will then be conducted if required.
